Access to Student Info — FERPA

FERPA, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, is a federal law which protects the privacy of student educational records. This law determines the availability of student information to parents.

Information, such as address, telephone number, and email address, is available to the general public unless the student has requested that it remain confidential.

Academic information, such as grades and GPA, is available only to the student. The best way for parents to learn specific details about their student's academic progress is to talk with their student.
